OVULATION AND ITS DISORDERS

 

RATIONALE

 

Anovulation is one of the commonest causes of infertility. New modalities exist in the treatment of anovulation. Understanding these modalities and the rationale behind their use will prevent abuses and minimize complications.

Understand the causes and management of anovulation

l        Describe the physiology of ovulation

l        List the causes of anovulation

l        List methods of diagnosis of ovulation

l        State the protocol of clomiphene citrate and gonadotrophin in induction of ovulation

l        Recognize complications of ovulation induction
