RATIONALE

 

Abnormal genital bleeding is a common gynecologic problem. It represents a major cause for patients to attend gynecologic clinics. It is among the common causes of hysterectomy in gynecologic practice.

Understand the types, causes, proper investigation, and management of abnormal bleeding

l        List the causes of abnormal bleeding, especially postmenopausal bleeding, according to age and types

l        Outline protocols of management of different types of dysfunctional uterine bleeding

l        Take appropriate histories of patients
