PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE
RATIONALE
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) is a common cause
of infertility and chronic pelvic pain. It is a largely preventable cause of
womens morbidity. Understanding its causes and their prevention will help
markedly in reducing their complications.
GOAL
Understand etiological and predisposing factors,
pathology and complications, diagnosis, and differential diagnosis as well as
prevention and treatment of PID
