GENITAL PROLAPSE
RATIONALE
Genital prolapse is loss of integrity of ligamentous
and support structures with herniation of internal genitalia into the pelvis
and frequently through the vaginal introits. Prolapse leads to many
distressing symptoms mostly caused by bad management of the course of labor;
therefore, prolapse can be avoided by proper management of labor.
GOALS

Understand the magnitude of the genital prolapse
problem and its causes, and emphasize preventable and avoidable causes
