CANCER OF THE VAGINA AND VAGINAL
SWELLINGS
RATIONALE
Primary vaginal cancer is a relatively uncommon
tumor, representing only 1-2 percent of malignant neoplasms of the female
genital tract. Primary vaginal cancer should be differentiated from cancers
metastatic to the vagina. Non-neoplastic vaginal swellings should also be
differentiated from neoplastic swellings.
