On Thursday 26th of May of this year, ASJOG organized its 2nd annual scientific club in Cairo International Conference Center. The event was attended by about 300 Ob/Gyn specialists from hospitals all around Egypt.

Registration was free of charge and included admission to the main lectures' hall, receival of 2 ASJOG educational CDs (on Hysteroscopy and Cervical Cerclage),Certificates of attendance to the event and the associated workshops held in parallel to it, summaries of the lectures given and free copies of the previous issue of ASJOG.

A group of 21 doctors shared with effort and time in organizing the event under supervision of the editorial board. Wonderful lectures were given by the eminent professors "Sobhi Aboulouz" and "Gamal Wafa" from Ain-Shams University; Prof Dr "Ahmed Ashoush", the former dean of the faculty of law in Benha University gave an exciting talk on the medicolegal aspects of our practice as regards patients' rights.

Prof Dr "Saeed Tohamy" made an amazing live demonstration on the technique of 3-D and 4-D obstetric anomaly scanning. International contribution came from Prof Dr "Georghe Peltecu", the international consultant of the Swiss red cross, who spoke about ACUB in Ob/Gyn.

The audience shared evaluating the case presentations of 3 Ain-Shams specialist registrars and in questionnaires on the usefulness and clearness of an article previously published in ASJOG (concerning Thrombo prophylaxis in gynecological surgery).

The comments on the results of those statistical data were put and presented by Prof Dr "Alaa El-Feky", a man with an astonishing ability in scientific analytical thinking.

Four national televisions channels covered the event and 12 pharmaceutical companies sponsored its different activities.

The hands-on workshops held during the event were fully booked all day long. They included training sessions in intrauterine insemination, tension-free vaginal tape insertion, repair of small intestinal injury, diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy.

The scientific club resulted in an invitation to the editorial board to promote for its plan of action in 4 universities and governmental hospitals.
